finder going crazy

i have a new macbook with leopard. the short of the story and problem is that it keeps opening every single file over and over again. and i can not get it to stop!! any ideas of how to end this madness??? i will gladly take any suggestions.

What type of files are opening? Are they on your Desktop? What, if any, applications are involved? Do you have any clues to what started this chain of events?
