Finder has no permission to open enter password

help, someone I F*cked some file permissions on my jaguar and this is what i get when i try to change the owner of any folder/file:

does anyone know what file i need to give more permissions or something?

This is permissions issue. It seems you are not an administrator. Login is as a user with admin privileges and you should be able to do this.

i am admin and the problem is that system doesn't got privileges to something, not me (i guess)

something ownerships can only be change with 'sudo' from the command line or if you are logged in as root. i recommend NOT changing file ownerships at random, the results could be pretty disasterous.

Mac OS X 10.2.x:
Boot from Install Disk 1 and select Disk Utility from the Installer menu. Click the Disk First Aid tab. Select your Hard Drive and click the Repair permissions button. Quit the installer. It will prompt you to restart.

Mac OS X 10.1.x:
Download Apple Repair Privileges Utility.


That's the best I can do.
