Finder reads ISO-DVD's VERY slow????

My CDs work fine, i recently watched my Matrix DVD, ran error free, but i noticed my backup data DVDs take a while to read in the finder. I hope my drive isn't starting to go, that would really just be bad.

Not sure if this will help any. In the latest MacAddict, a Roxio employee suggests NOT choosing the "Other" option to burn dvds. Instead, use the "Data" tab and burn your dvd there.

Yes, he said it would work, formatting the dvd with HFS + instead of the other universal dvd format or whatever.

Unfortunately, I don't have the mag in front of me at the moment.

hmmmm, I thought of trying that, but wasting DVDs isn't really an option. More reason to give it a try.

Burning DVDs from the regular Data menu option works fine, and the CD reads much faster. Tried it and i wish i burned the others this way.
