newbie trying to figure out a problem here.... I searched the site before (actually that was what brought me here) and found the "findfile fails" thread. I have used an Excel VB macro for the past few years with the findfile command in it (retrieves files to combine data), and now we've been upgraded to Excel 11.1.1..... I have no clue how to fix it, particularly since it looks like it isn't fixable....
Now, the gentleman with the problem in the "findfile fails" thread mentioned a possibility sent to him by microsoft, to overcome this obstacle, but I don't know how to get in contact with him and he probably didn't think it useful enough for anyone else to post it.... Is there any way someone can help me, please? I don't have a lot of experience with VB, just the very basics, and I probably can't understand half of it anyway. I only need something that does exactly what findfile did, which will work in Excel 11.1.1 .... preferable to cut and paste and work.....
