Fink and XFree86 - Won't start - startx error

Using the 'fink' install for XFree86 I get the following error when I enter startx -- -quartz and select "rootless" mode:

Fatal server error:
assert failed on line 454 of darwinKeyboard.c!

OsVendorFatalError
AbortDDX
Quitting XDarwin...
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

Is there something else I forgot to install?

(Incidentally I tried the instructions posted here:

... to fix the error, but it didn't help.)

Don't worry, there is an easy fix. Check out here (it's at the bottom); it worked for me.
