Firefox (2.0.0.6) has started talking to me

Suddenly, Firefox has begun talking to me and I hate it but cannot find out how to turn the voice off. Help.

It sounds like VoiceOver was activated (although that should affect other apps as well as Firefox). You can turn VoiceOver off in the "Universal Access" section of System Preferences.
