Firefox Add-Ons aren't "adding on"

I have a PowerBook G4. I have found that anytime I try to download a Firefox add-on, I get the pop-up window asking permission to install, I grant permission to install, I can see the download, and then NOTHING is showing up in the "Add-On" pop-up window under the "Installation" tab. I have restarted Firefox, and rebooted my computer, and none of the add-ons are in effect.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong?

When I go to "errors", I find this message: "Warning: Error in parsing value for property 'cursor'. Declaration dropped.

I don't know if that means anything...

You could try downloading the add-ons (right-click the install button and choose "Save link as ..."). Install them manually by opening the extensions or themes window (whichever is appropriate), then dragging the file to the window.

That only seems to create a .xpi file.

What version of Firefox? Do you have more than one version installed? I still have version 1 installed (which I should delete because I never use it).

You download an xpi file which then has to be installed. Are you getting the same error when you install the file manually?
