Firefox entensions problem

Hi, I recently read about the new google web logger extension for Firefox and went to download it. I had to update my Firefox to 1.5, which I did. But now I have a problem that NO extensions, themes etc will install as Firefox says that these are disabled. I follow the instructions to permit the site to install the extension, but nothing changes and I still get the same message. I have tried re-installing, but still no joy :( Any ideas?
 
I don't think the extensions are the problem, as they don't even get a chance to start installing!
