Firefox won't save anything

I have no history while browsing and my bookmarks are all gone. I can't even use the back button. I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. any ideas?

More info: I think some library files might have been deleted and firefox just has lost the folders and files that keep it's memory. But I have no idea what to do...
