Firewalls and entourage ?

Hi guys,
small question, are any of you behind a firewall? if so does it effect entourage at all ?

here is teh situation:
I patched Office 2001 with SR1 and then Patched Entourage with teh hotmail patch to fix hotmail.

I did this at work and at home (both under OS 9)
At work I can send and receive mail in my entourage accounts.

At home, I can only receive, I cannot send at all, with ANY account. I am suspicious that this might be caused by the fact that I have 2 firewalls up on my mac ( Intego's NetBarrier and Apple's web protecting thingy whatever its called).
I dont know WHY the firewalls would interefere now since they did not nterefere before... any ideas ?
Maybe I am missing something simple I am a bit fatigued

Yes I use entourage behind a firewall both in the offic(eth0) and at home (ppp) and it works fine

First of all, I would only use 1 firewall product on my machine

Ditch netbarrier and use the os x native firewall, seems to be reasonable okay for a freebie firewall, use it with snort for IDS and you are up and running

do you use the same interface at home and in the office? ie ppp or ethernet, if you don't you might want to check the firewall settings per interface.
