brianleahy Colonel Panic Nov 19, 2004 #2 Firewire 400 and 800 have different-shaped connectors. If a standard Firewire 400 cable will fit into the jack, you can assume it's FW400. Look here for a diagram of all g5 ports: http://www.apple.com/powermac/expansion.html
