I installed 10.4.4 recentlty.. and before I had a chance to check systems, I installed Traktor 3. (and upgraded to 3.0.1)

Both Logic Pro and Traktor are failing to play music out of my MOTU 828mk2
audio interface... iTunes is working fine..

I tried reinstalling 10.4.4 combo update and no luck

Any ideas ?

thanks.

It seems that the 10.4.4 update has been causing an array of problems. A friend of mine had a similar problem, which he resolved by downloading the 10.4.4 updater (not the combo) and running it again on his G5.

Well, I tried running the 10.4.4 update and still.. no luck

My MOTU 828 mk2 is working with iTunes

but not with Logic & Traktor

Is there any simple way I can downgrade to 10.4.3 ?

reinstall 10.4 and then upgrade to 10.4.3 ?

yeah, you can do an archive & install from your original system disk. sorry we couldn't come up with anything better for ya.

My first port of call would be to check that the motu device is the present output device for the core audio drivers in logic. Check in the drop down menu, Audio-> Audio Hardware & Drivers -> Core Audio (tab) -> Driver (drop down). Make sure the motu is selected. The software updates can often reset this to "built-in audio".

Still no joy? Have you tried updating your drivers for the Motu unit...i re-installed them for my Motu 24 i/o under 10.4.4 and its working properly

Also are you running the Apple Pro App support 3.1? It can be found here...

Hope these help. I strongly feel a re-install should be most un-necessary on this problem.
