Ok, I have an external Firewire HD (its one where you buy the external casing and the internal Harddrive separate from each other). Lately I've been trying to work with iMovie buy storing a project on the drive, but randomly the drive will lock up, forcing me to force quit iMovie.
So then when trying to turn off and back on the External HD, it continues to lock up and OS X never mounts it. I could come back a couple of hours later and try the same thing again and it would mount fine, run fine in iMovie, etc. But then eventually it will all repeat over again. Now Im not sure if this is an external HD issue, an OS X mounting issue, or an iMovie issue, or any combo of the 3!
Any suggestions?
