i'm desperate. i have a new mac that i bought one month ago. i installed the intel firmware update and it stopped half way. so now i boot up and i get a black screen. i went to a computer store and got a firmware restoration cd from another mac machine. that's still not working. when i start up, i get the fast blinking lights and i insert the cd and let go of the power button. i hear the startup tone and i all i get is a black screen. please help me! i dont even have bootcamp and as far as i've read, this firmware update is for bootcamp. is there anyway to stop/cancel the update? as cool as my mac is, i'm soooo frustrated with it.
