HELP!
In the process of successfully repairing an errant 9.1 drive from an Indigo iMac from the office (using an external FW bridge and target disk mode - great way to repair non-responsive IDE disks!), I managed to crash my Pismo 10.2.8 several times attempting to discard an errant file on the FW disk.
I think I made a really bad mistake by running the 12/5 Security Update while the OS was unstable. Now the dock is gone, many apps won't run, and I have black patches behind most of the desktop icons. Although I read that it was possible to do an "archive and install" update using my 10.2 disks, I get a message that it can't install over a newer system. What to do?
Thanks...
