quick question;

what app is the best to use to open .flac-files? i'm downloading this live-show(yes, it is approved off), and somehow it is encoded in .flac, wether to enhance sound-quality or whatever. since i'm not familiar with the format, what player should i use, or do i have to encode theese files to some other format to make them work or before burning them onto a cd?

alex.

Yeah unfortunately the only lossless codec iTunes supports is the Apple Lossless Codec.

MacAmp Lite will play .SHN's with a widely available SHN plug-in, though.

use MacFlac to decompress the flac file into a wav. import into itunes, and convert to ALC. ALC should be supported by ipod, as it is just a high bitrate AAC as far as i know.

Or you could just use AAC at a more sensible bitrate. Unless you really need the quality.
