Flash doesn't work

I can't get Flash to work on my 20" Intel iMac even with the latest Beta 8.5 Player. Any thoughts?

My friend has the 17" version and it works fine.

I even ran the uninstaller first. No luck.

Is it possible that it's a CPU issue? Does your friend own an iMac G5 or does he also own an iMac Core Duo?

Hers is a new Duo Core as well.

According to this page, the installer is PowerPC only. That means that Flash itself might only be for PowerPC, which means it's not a Universal Binary. This would be the only reason I can think of for it not running the plug-in.
