Got a bit of a wierd one. Apple 22" cinema display (the old style). Running from a mac pro with a ATI radeon 1900XT graphics card. Have 4 operating systems running... all were working perfectly until last night. Leopard works great - no problems, as does Tiger and Windows XP running boot camp. What does not work is Vista x64... it was not installed with compatible bootcamp because x64 operating systems are not supported yet.

It has been running fine for months though???

I also run a small dell 17" TFT off the same graphics card and no problems with that. It defaults to the main desktop on starting up vista, but only in vista. And I get this fast flashing light - about 2 every second or so - regularly. No amber lights and no groups of three...

If anyone has had this problem before or has idea why it may have occured would love to hear your thoughts on this one.

Many thanks...

I'm hoping it's similar to your problem. Had the same issue when going from XP's 32-bit version to the 64-bit version. I had to get a different driver for my video card to subbort 64-bit. My card was a Radeon 2600. I also had to have the panel plugged in during the entire setup, but you can't see anything on that panel. I used another monitor as the primary display. Once I got the driver installed, I had to colone my desktop so it would normally be seen on both displays. The Apple will still not show up. Then you shut the PC Down, place the Apple Panel as your primary display, and turn your machine on.

Again, It sounds like exactly the same problem I had going from 32-bit XP to 64-bit XP. This process shouldn't cause any problems to your system, but it's at your own risk regardless. I can't guarantee anything because you're running Vista.
