Floppy Drive on Biege G3's

Does anyone know if there is a reason why my internal floppy drive on my biege G3 isnt detected by OS X...i dont beleive my zip drive is either but i couldnt care less about the zip but im just wondering why the floppy doesnt work...

Actually the System Profiler sees the zip my bad but still no floppy?

I don't think internal floppy drives have been supported since OS X 10.2.

Internal floppy drives haven't worked since the public beta... there was a swim3 floppy driver available for OS X, but it stopped working with Jaguar, and never got updated. I have an 8600 in the same situation, so I feel your pain.

Oh well....would classic recognize the drive, of course i could browse it but say i was using dream weaver 4 and had an htm file on the drive i wonder if it would browse it.

Well, if you are booted in OS X, it will not recognize the drive. If you are booted in OS 9, then it will.
