I found the coolest little freeware program that will greatly enhance your Safari Google Search box (even for other countries' Google sites). the program is called AcidSearch.

Been around for awhile, comes in handy.

Cool program, the highlight for me being that its able to add other search channels for any site you like. For instance, navigate to the macosx.com search page, go to 'edit search channels' from the acidsearch menu, then 'new channel' at the bottom. It seems to work out the syntax for the search system automatically, or at least has for every site i've tried it with so far.
