Force Shut Down!

Yeah, i want to make my computer turn off, but i don't kno how to shut down (besides going under the apple and clicking shut down). Is there a way to force my LAPTOP (Powerbook G4 500 MHz) to shut down??????????????

Also holding the power button down for about 5 seconds should do it too.

if you are really in a hurry to shut down....you could just take out the battery

It may be worth noting that the rb2u's and gigi's methods of shutdown are last resorts that could result in data loss. It's a good idea to use Disk First Aid or another disk repair utility.
