Form factor and buying new parts

I've built PCs but I've never had to replace the hardware on my mac (thanks to good quality parts) and I want to pimp out my G4 tower. I'm interested in purchasing some cool blue or red LCD fans for it, but I was wondering if I can just walk into a Comp USA and find a..let's say a fan for an ATX form factor, and plug it right into my Mac? Or do Macs have their own set of form factors? Thanks.

Most Mac parts are standard stuff, at least since Steve Jobs returned. Same monitors, same mice, same drives, (except not all CD or DVD drives are supported by the OS software) even PC keyboards work except the Alt and logo keys are swapped.
Open your Mac and take out the fan and take it with you. It is very likely standard. The only problem might be the variable fan speeds on newer Macs. If you can supply the lights seperately from the fan, you could keep the lights running even when the fan is slow.
