Well here is the question...or rather it is posted in the subject.
Went to the apple-store yesterday and the only thing I saw was the eyeTV. Spec wise Formac's studio TV looked better to me but I could not find it at the apple store nor can I find it on amazon.

I would like something to watch TV and listen to FM radio on my mac, as well as record whats on TV (or even radio). From what I know myTV/fm cannot do that. What do the connosseurs know about this and what is your advice?

ATi makes a good tuner for PC, they might also have it for mac as they do with a lot of their cards, worth checking.

Actualy I am looking for a USB or Firewire solution, not a PCI solution. any ideas? i would like fm tuning too if possible and tv recording

Wiretap works great for recording radio stations or any other sounds your mac might encounter or emit... free tooooo.

Tried wiretap but it only records things coming into the mac -- I still need a device for fm tuning ;)

I use the USB model of EyeTV and I love it. It does a wonderful job of recording TV shows....it even wakes the computer up if it's sleeping. I do notice that sometimes when I'm using the computer and it starts recording a show the program occasionally chokes and stops recording. Also, since it's USB, the quality is not as good as with FireWire. They do sell a FireWire device now for the same price the USB device use to cost. Overall I like the EyeTV.......costed more than a TV but it saves space at college since I can watch right no my iMac. In terms of being able to listen to the radio, I cannot think of any device that also has the ability to record TV shows. MyTV/FM only lets you watch TV; no recording. If you wanted to also listen to radio, your best bet would probably be RadioShark ( http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/radioshark/ ). That device also lets you record radio programs, etc. Hope that helps.
