forwarding pdf with Mail

I'm trying to forward a pdf attachment that I received to someone else via Mail.
No matter what I do, it won't leave town.
The error I get is can't send with server. All other Mail goes with NP.
I can send my own pdfs, NP.
I tried changes perms on the doc. NC.
I assume that this has something to do with the original docs metadata.
Any ideas on a fix?
 
If it's larger than what your ISP or mail provider allows for outgoing mail size, try sending it zipped. It should reduce the size.
 
PDFs are already pretty much compressed. You may get lucky and skim under the limit, but you might have better luck splitting the file - by selecting the pages in the sidebar of Preview and making a new document from the clipboard.

This may be true in some cases. However, it is not generally true and you have no evidence that it is true in this case.
