Freakin' Arial

So today I make a new user account cuz my old one was corrupted or something. I make the new one, delete the old. Now suddenly I can't use "Arial" in any application, in 10.1.1 or in 9.2.2. Websites and typing programs alike show those annoying little boxes on most of the letters. This makes me upset. Any ideas?

thanks for all the suggestions guys - what i ended up doing was replacing the apparently corrupt arial file with one off an old system backup i'd done - everything works fine now!
