free Perl-editor

if you already have bbedit, you shouldl be able to get an extention for it....

and there is always gvim for x-windows if you have XDarwin installed....

tnx for your reply

well, I dunno if I have xDarwin installed or not! I have the Developer pack installed, that's all I know. So, does it come with it?

But ain't there anything for free??? I was using the demo-version of bbedit, and it's really great, but I exceeded the 30days...

try mi

its very well organized and has several highlighting options, i cant remember if perl was one of them though

as for xdarwin, if you dont know then you dont have it

tnx dani++ and fbp_!

It's too late over here to install any software! :)
I will go for it tomorrow and surely get happy about your links!

tnx once again!

... there can be only one: ViM!!!

(well, apart from Emacs, which some people prefer)

I think ViM will highlight just about ANYTHING for you! You can get a pkg download from Apple's very own MacOS X site (under UNIX utils ... just scroll down a bit)

It'll take you about a month to get used to the commands, but once you're used to them, you won't find another editor which will allow you to edit files as quickly!

Anyway, its all down to personal preference in the end (like if you want to use a mouse or just the keyboard, etc.) ... but I'd recommend giving it a go (but you'll have to stick with it for a week or so before you will be able to judge it...)

My two cents (yes, I mean the Euro ones :))
