FreeiPods apologies

Many of you know of the recent events involving me and my campaign against scottw's freeipods "research". If you don't, then you needn't bother reading this. If you have, I hope you continue on.

Consider this my public apology. I jumped to the conclusion that scottw had removed my thread promoting my site to help with the freeipods requirements since it disappeared right before scottw's initial announcement that he was trying to do a freeipod deal himself. The coincidence was just too obvious (so I thought) and assumed that scottw was doing me some great injustice.

Not being the type of person to roll over and play dead I essentially bombarded his post with tales of my interpretation of what happened which basically brought havoc to his thread. On top of that, sometime yesterday that thread was removed (along with all my comments) and replaced with the "site announcement" you see at the top of the forums now.

Obviously this enraged me even more. Regardless, this morning I read my personal messages to discover that my thread removal was not done at the hand of scottw, but another moderator.

So now, I have nothing left but to extend my apologies to scottw and anyone else I offended or misled by my postings. I won't offer excuses, except to say I screwed up.

I'm sorry.

im sure theylle accept ure apologies.
besides your lucky, the gilotine is not legal anymore :p :p :p

anyways, i just wanted to ask, why did the 'other' moderator delete youre thread ?
had u done anythin against the rules ?

i'd rather not get into why. i'm afraid it might spark discussion that leaves the point of the apology. if you must know, i'm sure the moderator will state it.

Wouldn't want to see Cflect decide to leave because of any misunderstandings. Hopefully, it's been cleared up.

The thread was considered advertising, and possibly could cause spam, that's why it was deleted. Against board rules to advertise, and the freeipod site basically is advertisng for those compamies listed.

Scott started the freeipod.com thread to see if he could find out if it was really legit.

This should be a clear enough explanation, so this thread is closed.
