Front Row and An External USB Drive???

I own a 15' 2.16 gHz MacBook Pro w/ 2 gig ram/100 gig harddrive, and a 23' Cinema Display. I love the Apple remote and using Front Row at home when my ACD is connected to my MacBook. HOWEVER, is it possible to use an external drive as the primary drive for Front Row to play back MP3, .MOV, etc etc? How would I configure Front Row to recognize the external drive as the primary media drive? I have well over 100 gigs of media, and only 100 gig harddrive on my MacBook, and I wouldn't want to fill up my Harddrive anyways.

Thanks!!!

Create an alias to the folder where your movies are stored on the external drive and drop it in the Movies folder. Front Row will resolve that and give you access to your movies.

Will this work with MP3 files as well; creating an alias in the Music folder? I read in an older post that a user had trouble with this?

I want to learn the same thing. I am guessing an alias in osx is like a shortcut in windows, but how to create one.
I learned you can do it, by pressing, option+l, or by going to the finder, file, and create alias. Is there any easier way.
DirtyCzech : One thing I should advice for you, make sure your external hard drive is partitioned fat32, not ntfs, or the Apple Filesystem.
Thanks

To make an Alias just right click (or control button+click for one button mice) on the folder/file/application and select 'Make Alias'. It's that easy.
