i just got my new G5 iMac last week. Everything seems fine expect for Front Row. I start it in the Applications directory and all I get is Front Row listed on my system menu. There are no other entries. This may be normal or not. I really don't know. So then I use my remote control and absolutely nothing happens. I went to System Pref>Security to verify IR was not turned off and all is OK. I then removed the application (trashed it) and downloaded the current version from Apple. Before installing, I removed all references in the Library, both user and system. No change.
How do I determine whether the IF sensor is working or is it possible the remote is dead or maybe the batttery was shipped dead. Where do I start? Any ideas would be appreciated.
