Ftp Scanning

I'm new to Macs and need to set up 10 Macs os 10.5 for scanning using FTP, has any one got an idiots guide with lots of pictures.Thanks
 
What do you mean "scanning using FTP?" Do you want to use a scanner and have it place the scanned images on an FTP server?

Please elaborate on exactly what it is you're trying to accomplish.
