I'm having big problems with uploading files to my web site using ftp. Small files (say, < 1K) can be uploaded with no problems, but larger ones (I've noticed this, for example, with a 4.8K file--not that 4.8K is large by any means!) seem too hang, causing the connection ultimately to time out.
The appearance of these problems seems to coincide with my switch from a cable modem to a DSL connection. I've been in touch with my web site host, and their tech support cannot find anything wrong on their end. As far as my DSL connection provider (Ameritech) is concerned, they're looking into the problem now.
It does seem rather odd to me that I can upload small files but not larger ones. I would instead expect to have lost the capability for ftp upload altogether.
Has anyone had similar problems--and if so, were you able to solve them?
