FTP won't disconnect

Hello,

I have OSX and am having a problem. I have logged onto the FTP site using the finder and now I cannot disconnect it. I have click on the icon and dragged it to the trash and it still stays on. I have also clicked on it and did (apple+E) command still nothing happend. It says it is still trying to copy a file to it with 5 seconds to go, but that was 3 months ago. I have rebooted many times since then and it still comes up as if it is trying to copy with 5 seconds left. Anybody know where to start with this error?

Wow you're kidding -- it keeps popping up after reboots??

I'd check whether the file shortcut has somehow ended up as a Startup Item.

System Preferences/Accounts/Startup Items
