Might be as easy to use a free client like cyberduck (http://cyberduck.ch/) as I fidn them a bit easier to use.
Terminal wise, where are you when you execute the command, I imagine it put it wherever you were (unless there is a default which a terminal guru may be able to help with). You can find your location in terminal with the command pwd (print working directory I believe, but its a case fo where you were when you executed the command not where you are now I fear).
