G3 Powerbook Battery Reconditioning

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a utility for OS X that will recondition the battery in my G3 Powerbook... I have tried the charge it, drain it, charge it... method, but it still doesn't last very long at all. Any ideas are most welcome. Thanks.
 
The Li-on batteries unfortunately are not prone to the memory effect of the older cad battery. When the battery will no longer hold a charge, usually they must be replaced. You might get some info about software that can do a recondition, but I don't think it will help, but try that, and good luck.!
