I am trying to install OS X on a g4 400 with 386 megs of ram.
I partitioned the drive into 3 sections, all HFS
I have a copy of MY original cd, becuase i left the other one at work.
I try to boot holding the c key and nothing happens. If i use the SODA keys i can get it to try to read the CD. However, it then just displays happy mac / ? / happy ma / ? / etc etc.
Obviously this is a sign that it cannot find a blessed system folder, but i did not see one on either the original or the copy, in the root dir.
Anyone have any thoughts on this>? I did try searching, but to no avail on solutions for this problem.
TIA
