G4 MDD already has USB 2.0!!!

Apparently according to this news story we already have USB 2.0 on our Mac's. Plus, this this will tell you how to get the driver to get tit working. I don't have a MDD G4 so I will rely on all of you to let me know if you can get it to work.
 
There have been reports about the drivers not working and messing too much with the machines. I'd be careful and read more reports before installing anything. Also make sure that you have the NEED to use the drivers. No use in trying to get an USB 1.1 device to run faster. :p ...
 
anyone actually been able to make the chip work? I read that the Chip is USB 2 capable, but Apple has no IO access (hardware) for it on the logic board. If so, then drivers (software) cannot enable the hardware if there is no IO access.
