G4 Tower Crashes Every Night Between 11 p.m and 11:40 p.m.

My G4 FW800 tower is running 10.4.11 on 1.75 GB of RAM. I've never had any issues with it, and I haven't changed anything at all on it lately.

Unfortunately, however, it has started crashing every single night between 11 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. CST. The really odd thing is that while the entire system crashes, I can still move the mouse pointer. Can't click, just move. But the time stops, so I can see what time it went down.

I haven't been able to locate any crash reports.

I've repaired the disk and permissions.

I'm wondering if a program is trying to access the network every night at some point but is hanging the system. I just have no idea how to find out what's doing it.

Anyone have any suggestions at all?

Open Console (Applications > Utilities), and look at console.log and system.log. What can you see in them at the affected time? If you can't decipher them, post the logs here and we'll have a look. Something will be in those two logs, of which ever service or process is doing what causing the slowness.
