G4 won't wake from sleep

G4 1.0 GHZ Mirrored Drive Doors / Tiger 10.4

Everything used to work fine. I could wake it with the mouse or space bar. I thought it was my keyboard, but I tried another one and still does not wake up. Are there any updates or applications that are known to cause problems with sleep? Only way to wake it up is to power it off

Mine's like that. I just stab the off button with my finger and it wakes up. Have you added a CPU upgrade or a USB card?

Yea! I forgot that I added a usb card before I left for vacation. thats gotta be it. bummer if Ill have to take it out. Thanks!

Is it too much trouble to stab the button? Or doesn't that work for you?

Button doesnt wake it up either

Do you have your keyboard plugged into the new USB card? Some USB cards won't respond while sleeping, and your keyboard must remain plugged into the built-in USB port.

Geeze I've had that problem for years until I upgraded to 10.4.X, now it sleeps and wakes fine...

I allways blamed it on all the stuff on the computer... (ps i just put in a 4 port USB 2 card too and it caused nothing to happen other than now I can connect my new (USB 2) iPod!
