Dear Sir,

I have a G5 pruchased in Jan/2004.
Currently 10.3.9
So far I have used mainly CD's and all was well.

Recentlay I started working with DVD's and some of them are simply ejected after a while with no message.

It seems to be consistant, i.e the same DVD will produce the same results. This includes data DVD's.
I have the 10.4 installer DVD which is recognized, however it will not boot from it.

I tried latest firmware update installer from Apple, but I recieve the message "Your computer does not need this update"
SuperDrive Firmware Update v1.0
