I have a dual processor 2GE Power PC G5 memory 512mg with mac os x 10.3.9.
A few weeks a go it started getting suck/freeze more and more frequently, as available using time got shorter. We backed up everything important on an external drive and tried to reinstall mac os from installation CD. It got stuck in the middle. We've let it rest and succeeded complete reinstalaation but not the updates.
Now when we turn it on, it gets to the blue screen and stops in the "login window starting". The cursor moves but the computer just stops.
I've read online and already tried the following:
1) safe boot - get stuck the same way
2) Disk Utility - ran disk aid and it does not encounter any problem
3)fsck - does not indicate any problem
4)Hardware check - no problem indication.
The computer get stuck at the same place again and again. My mac os x installation cd is still inside.
I am desperate. Any suggestion?
