garage band users - asteroid

Im not 100% sure in which forum this should be in but anyway....have any of you garage band users heard about Asteroid? This is the bast article I can find on it....

My questions is: does asteroid completely bypass the audio input via firewire and record completely on the software level? If so, this thing is completely amazing, this will eliminate any buzz or latency from crummy audio input cards that are out there regardless of platform...if anyone has more insight to this thing please share....

Whatever you've read is about all that is publically known. And with Apple suing websites over the info, you're not likely to find out much more until it's released.

And: Stuff like Asteroid is already out, albeit for a little more money perhaps. Basically, Asteroid will continue where Logic left off.
