I'm trying to do some voice recordings for some business projects and have been using GB to pretty good effect, but have been advised by a couple of sources to move up to Logic Express.
Is it worth the money and will I still be able to access all the instruments and samples I now use in GB?
Also, I was advised to do the following to help improve my recording quality:
"see if you can measure your noise floor (have at least a 40db gap between your average peak level and your room noise)"
I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone give me a step-by-step on how to measure this and tweak as needed?
