Get info not reporting # of files

you have a folder with 20+ folders in it. in each folder you have anywhere from 4-400 files in them. how do you get info on the main folder to find how many total files are in it? XP reports it in the properties but get info does not to my knowledge.

Count Everest is a piece of freeware for this purpose. But a much faster program with a 30-day demo is Super Get Info by Bare Bones.

VersionTracker is your friend. They have a pretty good search feature, and they list everything.

Thanks to jellyrollo for asking this question. Much as I hate to prefer PCs to Macs for anything, this issue was really troubling me (but I never thought to ask about it). More thanks still to slur for pointing out this useful piece of freeware.
