Getting rid of gmail mailbox folders on Mail [pics included]

The Lone Deranger
How do I get rid of the 3 mailbox folders at the bottom of the source column in mail. They automatically appeared when I made mailboxes for gmail. I'm talking about the 3 things at the bottom with the triangles beside them. I only want the mailboxes at the top to be visible (the ones right under "inbox").

Thanks!

Do you have Gmail set for IMAP or POP?

As I see it, the only way you will not see those mailboxes is to click on the triangle next to the user name. It looks like you have the accounts set to IMAP and that will show the folders from the GMail. If you really don’t want those folders and don’t use them, you can try logging into to GMail’s webmail site and removing them.

First you have to save the emails that are important. You can’t just change the account type. You have to create new and delete the old.

When you create the new select POP.
incoming server is pop.gmail.com
user name is the full email address
Outgoing is smtp.gmail.com
Use SSL with password as the authentication.
