getting rid of the dock

Well, I've found enough add-ins that I no longer need the dock. I don't care for it in any shape or form I've tried to mold it into.

Is there anyway to rid the machine of that forever??

Me too. I just made it as small as possible. It rarely causes trouble. On rare occasions I actually use it. At other times things accidentally go into the dock so I need it there to pull them back.
 
I was fumbling around with tinker tool and found that if I set the dock to go to the top I can't get it to appear anymore!

YAH!
 
I notice that if I stick it to the left side and hide it I'll rarely unhide it unless I really want to.
 
this is funny-i'm a pc user and i go to neowin.net all the time. If they only heard that mac users are trying to get rid of the dock..they'd go nuts. Every PC user wants a OSX dock on windows more than anything! (including me :rolleyes: )
