Gmail certificate in Mail.app

I've been using Gmail with the Mail.app for quite some time now. Today, for some strange reason, I get this message (see attach.)


I click OK and then it tries to download my mails for ages.. but i never get anything...

What can I do?

Yeah, I just got this message too. I posted a support ticket for it.
I hope they get it fixed soon.

I'm having the same problem with my gmail today. I'd be willing to bet that they're having server issues. For now, I'd suggest using gmail.com and hoping the issue clears up.

I'll post additionally if i find a workaround.

of note: I tried pinging mail.gmail.com and it came back unresolved: Unknown host

So it looks to me like they ARE having server issues.

Gmail works okay for me with Eudora.

they have fixed the problem, and the server is online now

yes, now it doesn't give that certificate message anymore...
On the other hand, now it hangs for ages, trying to receive new mails, but it never does... It can still send them though.
Oh well, I guess back to gmail.com :/
