Good buy for $160? First gen iMac...

This local mac store here has a complete first gen purple iMac for $160. Perfect condition etc. Heres the specs:

266mhz G3 Processor
96mb of RAM (yeah ugh but whatever)
6gb hard drive
Ethernet, usb, etc. No firewire I believe
OS 9.2.2 installed
All original program and OS CDs
Apple Mouse and keyboard that came with it

Worth the $160 for a desktop mac that can chill while my powerbook works?
 
What do you intend to run on it? OS 9? Panther? Jaguar?

I wouldn't use that machine for anything other than light OS 9 work. Too slow. A good deal for $160, but too slow to run anything current.

It may be a decent file server or MP3 server with a little more RAM and a bigger hard drive.
 
Some more opinions would be great....

I plan on using it as just a basic desktop with OS 9. I dont need to do my photoshopping or gaming on it. I have a Powerbook for that! Music and like...dumb stuff would be cool though. Word Processing etc. :D
 
Why bother?
Honestly, what will you do on this that you couldn't on the Powerbook?
 
I think that would be a great machine to my dad. He'll need one for basically office and surfing .. but then, I'm a moron with classic so I better get him something that runs OS X or i can't fix it or tell him what to do. :)
