Now then - Just to let you know, I am very much a internet and computer virgin and the only knowledge I have is what I have now researched. Please bear with me if I don't understand any tech jargan.
The computer I have is a Mac os x 10.3.9 panther. My troubles started when I tried to download Mac Leopard, during the download I think my son has knocked the computer and one of the cables has come out the computer and there was a loss of electricity. After starting up again my screen was showing a panic cpu. I am now using my sons little mini book laptop to try fix this problem. Since the problem I have tried various methods of opening up the computer because every time I turn it oc it goes back to the Panic report & backtrace ect. The only short cut that changes anything is pressing and holding 'Alt' on start up, this brings me to a bl Panicue screen showing the macintosh HD & an Arrow & a Undo sign but my mouse is then frozen so I dont know what to do from there.
This is the Panic info:
Panic (cpu 0): Unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerMac10,1".

Panic: we are hanging here.......
Well I do hope somebody can at least tell me how to fix this frustrating problem. I add to the problem even more by losing the original start up disk. And this lap top does not have a disk drive. I also cannot get to the tool bar to get the information on the memory ect...
Please try your best to recommend a solution for me to try.
Finally, I have a CD 5n the drive, how do I get that out?
Thank You All so much for any assistance you provide
