graphic converter icons

does anyone happen to know how i can prevent graphic converter from changing the icon of any picture i open with it? i do prefer the default preview.app icons, especially as graphic converter for some unknown reason applies little os 9.x icons that look awful when blown up to full size in os x ...

there must be an option somewhere, but i can't seem to find it ...

I believe there's a preference for what type of icon you prefer - dogeared, square preview, etc... Don't know if the options include no icon at all though.
