How is the graphics not correct? Black and white, too much blackscale, inverterd...?

Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing > display. Is the contrast normal, and 'black on white' selected?

Or maybe, just maybe, someone simply pressed the 'Command <option> <control> 8' keys - which toggles the Macs' monitor from 'Black on White' (which is the same as performing Gigaguara's 'System Preferences' 'Universal Access', 'Seeing', 'Display' 'Black on 'White' selection suggestion) to 'White on Black', and visa versa.
